Publishing & Author Support
We work with authors across children’s picture books, early readers and chapter books, fiction, nonfiction, memoir, poetry, business, educational and academic manuscripts, and young adult titles. Our children’s book publishing services are a particular area of focus.
Authors work with us to retain control over their creative and business decisions throughout the publishing process, including approvals over covers, formats and marketing direction. Copyright ownership, licensing terms and specific rights depend on the publishing agreement you sign, so we recommend reviewing that agreement carefully — our team is happy to walk through it with you.
Yes. Many authors come to us with a partial draft, an outline, or even just a concept. Our writing coaching and ghostwriting services are designed to support you from wherever you currently are in the writing process.
Yes. Our illustration team offers a range of styles — including watercolor, digital painting, cartoon, 3D character style, hand-drawn pencil, collage, flat vector, fantasy, educational and minimalist approaches — and works closely with authors from character sketches through final spreads.
Yes. Our audiobook production service covers narrator selection, professional studio recording and audio mastering, suitable for fiction, nonfiction, memoir and children’s titles with character narration.
We prepare titles for hardcover, paperback, eBook, audiobook and print-on-demand production, and we help you decide which combination makes sense for your genre and goals.
Yes. Author approval is built into our process at every major milestone — including developmental edits, cover concepts, illustration drafts and formatting proofs — through your author dashboard.
We prepare the ISBN, metadata and file setup required for distribution across online retailers, eBook and audiobook platforms, print-on-demand networks, and library and independent bookstore channels where available. Availability can vary by territory and retailer.
Children’s Books & Illustration
We can create original illustrations in a range of styles — watercolor, playful cartoon, storybook fantasy, hand-drawn and more. Projects typically begin with character sketches and a storyboard, followed by finished spreads and cover art. The number of illustrations, level of detail and style all shape the scope and quote.
Yes. If you supply your own artwork, we'll review the files for resolution, color and trim requirements, then design the interior and cover around them. Please make sure you hold the rights to use any artwork you provide; we'll confirm this with you before production.
It depends on your manuscript. Some stories need developmental editing for structure and age fit; others need line editing for rhythm and word choice, or simply a careful proofread. Our manuscript review recommends the level of editing your story needs before you commit.
Timelines depend on the services you choose, the number of illustrations and how quickly feedback rounds are completed. Fully illustrated picture books generally take longer than editing-only projects. After reviewing your manuscript, we'll share an estimated schedule with your written quote.
We prepare files to the specifications of widely used self-publishing and print-on-demand platforms, such as Amazon KDP and IngramSpark, and can guide you through setup steps, ISBNs and metadata. Each platform sets its own review and distribution policies, and the final publishing decisions and accounts remain yours.
Ownership and usage terms for your text and any artwork are set out clearly in your written agreement before work begins, so you know exactly what you'll receive. If anything is unclear, ask us — we're happy to walk through it.
The more we know, the more accurate the quote. Helpful details include:
Your manuscript (or a draft) and approximate word count
Target age range and intended format, such as picture book or early reader
The services you're interested in
Estimated number of illustrations or spreads, and any style references
Any artwork you already have, and who created it
Preferred trim size, if known, and print, ebook or both
Your timeline and the platforms you're considering
Manuscript Review
Yes. Submitting your manuscript or a sample for review costs nothing and carries no obligation to purchase any service afterward.
A member of our editorial team reads your sample or synopsis and prepares written feedback on structure, voice, pacing and overall readiness, along with a recommended next step for your project.
Review timelines vary based on manuscript length and current volume, but most authors hear back within a few business days of submitting. You’ll receive an email confirmation as soon as your manuscript is received.
Not necessarily. A representative sample — such as the first few chapters — or a detailed synopsis is often enough for our editorial team to offer meaningful feedback. If you’re unsure what to submit, include a short note in the message field and we’ll advise you.
Yes. Your manuscript is reviewed by our editorial team for evaluation purposes only and is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
Book Fairs & Promotion
It depends on the package. Fair Foundations covers planning, goal setting, profile preparation and essential promotional materials. Author Spotlight adds an expanded media kit, campaign creative, fair-focused PR planning and coordinated content. Global Author Campaign adds broader multi-channel PR planning, additional creative, outreach coordination and post-campaign reporting.
Your proposal lists the exact deliverables for your campaign.
No. Most campaign work is digital and can be carried out whether or not you travel. If you plan to attend, we can help you prepare, but tickets, travel and event access are arranged separately and depend on each fair's rules.
For most fair campaigns, yes: a publication-ready or published book with a final title, cover and format details works best. If your book is still in progress, we can talk about getting it ready first through our publishing services.
No, not by default. Pages&Prestige is not an exhibitor or official partner of these fairs. Any physical display, stand space or catalogue listing is offered only if it is available through the fair or a third-party provider and confirmed in writing, with its rules, deadlines and costs.
No. A fair campaign does not guarantee sales, press coverage, reviews, meetings, distribution or a publishing deal. What we commit to is delivering the services in your agreement professionally and keeping you informed throughout.

Your timeline, and a budget range if you have one
As early as you can. Exhibitor and programme deadlines often fall months before a fair, and good creative work needs time for your review. Tell us your target fair and we'll tell you honestly what is realistic for that timeline.
No. We are an independent publishing-services provider. We are not an official partner, exhibitor or sponsor of the London Book Fair, Miami Book Fair or Frankfurter Buchmesse, and are not endorsed by their organisers.
